SPD To Participate In STAIF

January 14, 2000 Huntsville, AL The Space Product Development Program will be taking part in the Space Technology and Applications International Forum in Albequerque, NM January 30 through February 3. SPD and Commercial Space Center representatives will be taking part in panels, and an exhibit will feature products and information from several Commercial Space Centers including the Center for Macromolecular Crystallography, the Center for Commercial Applications of Combustion in Space, the Space Vacuum Epitaxy Center, and the Wisconsin Center for Space Automation and Robotics. The items they will exhibit include hardware used for commercial space research, samples of ceramics that may provide improved bone subsitutes, and models of products in testing including the "Bionic Eye." In addition, there will be video presentations and representatives on hand to discuss specific research and the SPD program in general.
